Projects Wiki Gaffer IQ The interface
The interface
Splitting dense data so it does not overwhelm, and offering more than one route to the same information.
Without care and intention towards the UI styling and structuring, the platform is virtually useless. I designed Gaffer IQ to split and separate data in a way that tries to avoid overwhelming a user where it can. Having clear containers, colouring, spacing, and appropriate separate areas for different views and data allows a user to find information relevant to the fixtures they're interested in as easily as possible with the data density considered.
It's also important that there are multiple ways of finding information so that the platform feels intuitive in a similar way to Apple's accessible design philosophy, with buttons clear and animations in contextually appropriate places to show what items are interactive. I intentionally leant towards a style that feels appropriate for modern English football and I am confident that the styling represents the platform's purpose accurately.
