A simple-looking interface that unlocks potential after fixtures are played, allowing a more literal view of the upcoming week’s fixtures.
Before kickoff
Before a matchup is played, information is minimal. You can see who is playing home and away, as well as the recent history of that fixture.
After the match
After a match has been played, however, its potential becomes apparent. You get a graphically appropriate breakdown of all the key events that happened during that match:
- What side the event happened for, who it was committed by, and when.
- Exactly who was substituted for who, and at what time during the game.
- Who started, how many minutes were played, and who was left on the bench.
This allows for a comprehensive view that matches modern interpretations of the same information, in a way that balances comprehensive design and detailed breakdown.
Terms used here
- Home and away
- How much venue matters to each side, measured as their home-versus-away points gap relative to the rest of the league, then applied as a boost to the home team and an equal penalty to the away team.Explained in Calculations
- Starting XI
- A real teamsheet with formation, derived from Understat’s rosters via their position codes and substitution linkage. The FPL API exposes no teamsheet of any kind.
